Dr. Kimberly Beck-Frate, LMHC has been employed by Halifax Health-Health Hospice for the past 27 plus years. Presently, she is the Traumatic Loss Program Developer for the agency, which is the only one in the State of Florida. Prior to working in her present position, Kimberly participated on many teams serving Hospice patients and Families throughout the years and counted as her favorite the SNF and ALF teams. Kim has been licensed in Mental Health Counseling since 2000 and received her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology in 2012. In addition, to her duties at Hospice, Kimberly is the part time CEO at Mental Health America of East Central Florida and maintains a small private practice locally where she is honored to work with the Straight Up SolGier Foundation.
Kimberly is a valued member of both the Critical Incident Stress Management teams of both Halifax Health and Volusia County. She is the past President of the Victim Services Coalition of the 7th Judicial Circuit and remains an active participant in moving victim rights forward in our community.
Dr. Beck-Frate holds a number of certifications which include Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Advanced Bereavement Practitioner, Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Victim Services Designated Practitioner, and Reiki.
Dr. Kimberly Beck-Frate has received many awards throughout her years of service but the most important to her are the Employee of the Year Award in 2015 for Halifax Health, and recognition by the Victim Services Coalition for her work in response to the Pulse Tragedy in 2017 as well as Mental Health Practitioner of the Year in 2018.
In her spare time Kimberly enjoys music, reading, meditation, riding motorcycles, spending time with her family and pets.
